We are blessed with members and families that have a heart for missions and truly want to be the hands and feet of Christ! Below is a partial listing of mission and ministry opportunities at St. Paul United Methodist Church. It is our prayer that you will join us on the journey to serve and incarnate the love of Jesus Christ in the world. Anyone interested is welcome to participate in the following missions and ministries:
St. Paul Food Pantry The food pantry is located in the main building directly across the hallway from the sanctuary. Food and tioletry items collected go to the Montgomery County Food Bank, except at Christmas when a local family is presented with a pantry box. All items are appreciated!
Lending Library The library is located in the main building, within the conference room. Checkouts and returns are on the honor system. Donations of spiritual formation books and theological and biblical reference books are always appreciated!
Unity Garden The Unity Garden is located on the North side of the property. It is a work in progress and anyone willing to help plan, design or implement the garden progress is encouraged to participate.

Mission House The Mission House offering is collected Sunday mornings during the Children's sermon. Donations go directly to support a child sponsored by the children of St.Paul. Traditionally birthdays, anniversaries, praise and prayer requests are made when an offering is given to Mission House. It is a special time for everyone in worship!
Walk to Emmaus The Walk to Emmaus is held through the Houston North Emmaus Community, a division of The Upper Room Ministries of the Board of Discipleship of The United Methodist Church. Although this is not a direct ministry of St.Paul, many of our members sponsor new Emmaus 'Pilgrims' and support the Emmaus 'Fourth Day Community'. St.Paul also has an Emmaus Reunion Group that meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday at 7p.m, in Madeley Hall. Bring a snack!
Ushers and Greeters Those that serve as Ushers or Greeters are selfless and happy! They enjoy meeting new friends and give freely of their time on Sunday mornings.
Choir and Music Ministries Music is a ministry unlike any other, it is a gift of voice and song to enrich the worship experience of others. Come practice with us Wednesday evening and praise with us on Sunday morning! Music ministries also include the coordination of audio/video recording, piano accompaniment, and the Lighthouse Band!

Altar Guild/Sanctuary Design The entire body of St.Paul gets involved decorating the sanctuary, especially for Advent and Pentecost! However, every liturgical season brings a change in colors and theological focus. This group works to dress the church appropriately and worshipfully while cohering to the Revised Common Lectionary Calendar and the traditions of the United Methodist Church. What a wonderful way to learn about the liturgical calendar and our denominational traditions!
Acolytes Acolyte training is held as needed throughout the year. Acolytes are an important and integral part of worship at St.Paul.
Feed My Sheep! Serve God in a special way! Assist Rev.Ware or Rev. Hinson in offering Holy Communion to homebound members of the congregation. You will be blessed!
Annual August Garage Sale Our Annual Garage Sale is a HUGE, churchwide undertaking! It is held just before school starts in the fall. The proceeds always go to fund the missions and ministries of St. Paul. “Leftovers” are always given to area thrift shops who want the items, the local library, or they are given to folks traveling to Mexico or border mission areas.
